The Unreal People began a few years ago as a personal art project. Through my commercial work, it evolved into an exploration of one of AI’s greatest creative challenges: creating people who feel authentic, distinctive, and believable.

Drawing on nearly two decades as a portrait photographer, I approach each character with the same attention I would bring to a person in front of my camera. Expression, posture, and subtle imperfections all contribute to a sense of individuality—a presence that goes beyond a generic, polished face.

Today, I bring this approach to projects for clients, developing characters with personality and maintaining their visual identity across still images and moving footage. The examples below offer a glimpse into this process and the people it brings to life.
